The majestic city of Florence always pleases the hearts of people around the world.  Whether it’s exceptional food, unique architecture, or even the people, everyone rants and raves about Florence.  Like many cities in the Europe there are tons of things to do in the city that would welcome any tourist.  You could spend months in Florence exploring the city piece by piece.  But what if you are on limited time and only have a week or two?  What you should probably do is find holiday apartments in Florence and enjoy every second that you are there!  Here are the must see’s of Florence:

Check out the Duomo:

Great picture taking opportunities in the area in and around the Duomo.  One unique aspect of the dome is that you can actually climb to the top and get excellent views of the city.  Who wouldn’t love to see a skyline view of Florence after having a great coffee or lunch?

The famous Graves:

Some of the most famous names in history are buried at the graves in Florence.  You will find many popular names such as Galileo, Machiavelli, Rossini, Ghiberti, and Michelangelo as well.  You can also go across the hall to the Medici Chapel and see even more elaborate graves.

Walk Around the Leather Markets

Even if you don’t want to spend any money, experiencing the leather markets is definitely a must see in Florence.  There are two different markets that you can see and one is very close to small shops where you can find all kinds of delicious goods to take home like Olive Oil & cheese.  I still remember how delicious the fresh olive oil was in Italy.

Explore the Art & Architecture

Wouldn’t be a trip if you didn’t lost walking around the city admiring all of the art and architecture.  Florence is known for having both excellent architecture and art.  There you have it!  The best things to do in Florence!
