Once in a Lifetime Adventures That Everyone Should Explore

Traveling can be fun and rewarding. It can also be entertaining and educational. If you can find a way to pack all of these attributes into a trip, you will have a special vacation. Here are two destinations that provide all of the qualities above and also are one-of-a-kind vacations.

Uganda Safari

One of the greatest adventures you can have today is to get back to nature in a way that lets you get up close and personal on a one-of-a-kind exploration. There is no better adventure that fits this description than a safari in Uganda.

Uganda is known around the world for having some of the best national parks and game reserves in the world. The country teems with beautiful forests and lush jungle complete with abundant wildlife. Here you can join a safari and explore the wildness as it has been for millions of years. The country is most famous as having the largest population of mountain gorillas on the planet. Here they live in the wild in great abundance and you can observe them unlike virtually any other place.

There are so many attractions to see and marvel at in Uganda including:

Lake Victoria – One of the African Great Lakes, Lake Victoria is the second largest fresh water body in the world, and the source of the mighty River Nile. The lake is a great tourist attraction because of its beauty and abundant lovely resorts.

River Nile – Enjoy rafting along the most famous river in the world, the River Nile.

Murchison Falls Conservation Area (MFCA) – The MFCA includes Murchison Falls National Park, Bugungu and Karuma Falls Wildlife Reserves. The mighty Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a placid river whose banks are thronged with hippos and crocodiles, waterbucks and buffaloes. The area is complete with resorts that offer safaris and trekking through the forests and countryside.

Trek the Canadian Rockies

Some say that the Canadian Rockies is the most beautiful mountain range in the world and one visit will tell you why. The Canadian Rockies is the northern section of the North American Rockies, but they are taller and larger. Below the border they pass through Colorado and Montana and then head north into the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.

The Canadian Rockies have numerous high peaks and ranges, such as Mount Robson (3,954 m or (12,972 ft) and Mount Columbia (3,747 m or12,293 ft. They are quite different in appearance and geology from the American Rockies to the south of them, composed of limestone and shale, whereas the American Rockies are made mostly of gneiss and granite. As a result the Canadian Rockies have a more majestic look.

Five national parks are located within the Canadian Rockies, four of which are adjacent and make up the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks. All five of these parks, combined with three British Columbia provincial parks, were declared a single UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. The parks offer some of the most amazing wildlife and sights anywhere.

There are literally dozens of places to stay along, bedside and even on the Canadian Rockies. You can choose between hotels, lodges and even villas that offer all year round accommodation for skiing or hiking in towns like Whistler, Jasper and you have to visit Sawtooth Mountain.

The activities literally never cease. Bring the entire family and everyone will be entertained. There are dozens of beautiful lakes, the widest variety of wildlife, fishing, hiking, hunting and trapping, and you can rough it or live life like a king here. There is no doubt that this is God’s country and a worthy adventure for all.

The world has such beautiful undeveloped places where you can reacquaint yourself with nature. Leave the stress and your problems behind and take a real adventure!
