If it’s your first time to travel to this quaint Scandinavian country, sick you’d probably be wondering when the best time to visit Norway is.  Knowing what to expect during a particular time of the year in the country allows you to plan your itinerary accordingly.

But there are a couple of things you need to consider when getting to know the best time to visit Norway.

For starters, buy the climate is very crucial in determining the best time to visit Norway.  Summer time is your best bet for a great vacation in Norway.  You get to witness one of the most spectacular phenomena in the northern hemisphere:  the midnight sun, when the days are longer and the nights are shorter.  This means you can pack up as many activities as you want in one day.

Early summer time, which is from June to July is the peak season in Norway and you know what that means:  more crowds.  Plus, hotel accommodations can soar sky high as establishments take advantage of the high influx of tourists.

But if you want to avoid expensive hotel prices and big crowds, May and September are a great option for a vacation in Norway.  The weather during this time is mild enough to warrant a city tour or an adventure in the countryside.

But if ski trips are your idea of a perfect vacation in Norway, then March would be your best bet.  Unlike the Christmas season and the Polar Nights (24 hours of night time, as opposed to the midnight sun), March guarantees lesser crowds and you may even have the whole ski resort to yourself during this time of the year.  You can enjoy various winter sports during this time of the year, including snowboarding.
